Music at St. Elizabeth's Parish
Important: The use of the word "alleluia" is prohibited during the season of Lent. Songs marked with an asterisks * can not be used from Ash Wednesday to Easter.

Alleluia and other Acclamations:
The acclamations are to be sung by everyone, including visitors to the parish.
We use Mass settings and other acclamations that the staff has determined will be familiar to the most people.
Presentation Of The Gifts: This can be a hymn, a solo piece or it can be instrumental music. Since it is not tied to any particular ritual action the music here can be more flexible. This is a good place for a hymn or song to the Blessed Mother if one is desired.
- (Solo) Ave Maria
- #306 - Gentle Woman
- #454 - You Are Mine
- #416 - I Have Only Loved You
- #407 - Only This I Want

Note: You may also choose most of the other songs listed elsewhere in this aid.
Communion Song: Music during the communion procession as a sign of our unity. Music that speaks directly of communion, the Lord's Supper and unity are good choices. As people are moving at this time, it is best to use something with a short refrain easily sung by all without need for a book.

Procession to the Committal - Closing SongBooks are left behind as people are leaving the church. Again, it is suggested that a song with a short familiar refrain, or a familiar song be used at this time, so that all can sing without a book or program.

- #409 - Blest are They
- #383 - How Great Thou Art
- #427 - Be Not Afraid
- #482 - I Am the Bread of Life
- #343 - Song of Farewell (Sands)
